Adam Brakoniecki
Adam Brakoniecki

President

Adam Brakoniecki serves as the President of the North Jersey Chapter of the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) and is a Packaging Leader at Becton Dickinson within the Global Integrated Engineering team. With over 20 years of expertise in the Medical Device Packaging industry, Adam specializes in new equipment, materials and technology to enable access to healthcare through better packaging. He actively collaborates with leading industry organizations, including Kilmer Innovation in Packaging (KiiP) and the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI). Adam holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Packaging from Michigan State University.

Vice President

Franco is a veteran of 25+ years in Sales, Marketing & Business Development roles with Packaging, Packaging Materials, Print and Brand Protection physical & digital technologies in more than 35 countries. He is a Certified Packaging Professional, and holds a Professional Certificate; Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection by Michigan State University.

Robert Ryckman is a distinguished leader in the labeling and packaging industry, brings over 30 years of hands-on experience and strategic insight to his role as Vice President of Sales & Business Development at Elm Labeling Solutions, a Certified Veteran Owned Label supplier. Throughout his career, Robert has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to solving complex labeling challenges for clients across a wide range of industries, including chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and consumer goods. With a deep expertise spanning sustainable label solutions, expanded content labels, booklet labels, and RFID, digital print and anti-counterfeiting technologies using his abilities to navigate the evolving landscape of labeling technologies and consumer trends has made him a trusted advisor in the industry, known for his innovative approach to material selection, adhesive choices, and application technologies.

John Scala

Former Treasurer & Chapter BOD Alumni

John has an extensive 40 + year background in Supply Chain Management. His career included both work assignments and consulting in Warehousing, Inventory and Production Management, IT and Packaging in the cosmetics, nutraceuticals, biotech and telecommunication industries. He is a Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) and has taught at both New York Universityand Michigan State University.
