The State of Sustainability: End User Perspectives

The North Jersey IoPP Chapter hosted an engaging Sustainability Round Table event in March 2024, drawing a significant turnout to explore sustainability in three distinct sectors: medical device packaging, cosmetic packaging, and food packaging.

The evening featured three distinguished speakers: Amit Limaye, Director of the Sustainable Medical Technology Institute (SMTI) at BD, who addressed sustainability challenges and innovations in the medical device industry; Rob DiPalma, Vice President of Sustainable Packaging and Engineering for the Estée Lauder Companies, who shared insights on sustainability’s influence in the cosmetic sector; and Brian Stepowany, Senior Manager of Packaging Research & Development at B&G Foods, who discussed the evolving landscape of sustainability in food packaging.

The event attracted attendees from across the region, including New York City, Connecticut, and various parts of New Jersey. With thought-provoking discussions, exceptional food, and invaluable knowledge shared among packaging experts, the evening was a resounding success for the chapter.
